ATLANTIC CITY CASINOS

ACCESSIBLE FEATURES
If using the self-parking garage, take the elevator to the clearly marked casino level.  Turn left and walk to the main hotel check-in desk. There are two hotel towers.  The Bourbon Tower is closer to the Boardwalk.  The newer  Orleans Tower is closer to Pacific Avenue. We have found accessible room to be readily available in both towers.  For example, room 1803 in the Bourbon Tower has grab bars at the side of and behind the toilet.  In has a full tub with three grab bars. The bathroom is quite large and easy to enter.  There are two clothes racks in the closet, one of which is at a lower level.  There is also a lower level peep hole in the hall door.

Room 1070 in the Orleans Tower is a simialr accessible room with two beds, grab bars next to the toilet and in the tub.  there is also a fold down seat in the tub.

The room faces north and has a view of the Revel casino.

The casino is several steps lower than the rest of the main floor; however, there are two broad ramps down to the casino level, one is at the Boardwalk end of the casino and one is closer to Pacific Avenue, very close to the hotel check-in desk and the Masque Bar.  There are two up-scale restaurants on the main level, the Rib and Chop House and Casa di Napoli.  The Mansion Coffee Shop and the French Quarter Buffet are on the second level.  They can be reached most conveniently by persons staying in the Bourbon Tower via the Bourbon Tower elevator.  They can also be reached from the second level of the Orleans Tower for persons staying in that tower.  The coffee shop is up several steps from the second level of the Bourbon Tower and down several steps from the second level of the Orleans Tower.  There are ramps next to the steps.

It is possible to travel between Showboat and Trump Taj Mahal without going outside.  This is a nice convenience during inclement weather.  The first time you do this with a person in a wheel chair it be a bit confusing.

As you walk toward the Boardwalk exit from Showboat, passed the House of Blues, you will observe a sign pointing to an escalator that can be used to travel to the Taj.  As you face the escalator, there is a small alcove on the right in which you will find an elevator.

Take the elevator to the second level  It only goes between the first and second level). When you exit the elevator you can walk down the hall and through the doors that lead into the Taj Mahal.

You will then find another well-marked elevator, which you take down to the first level.

Continue past the bar and through the doors into the Taj Mahal casino.  You will see a short flight of stair in front of you.  Go to the left about 100 feet and you will find a ramp which will take you down to the casino level.

If you are interested in going to the Taj Mahal restaurants, the shops along the Spice Road or the Convention center, there is an elevator on your left as you get to the bottom of the ramp.

To travel from the Trump Taj Mahal to Showboat, reverse the above directions.
