Our major activity will be our tour of the Dingle Penunsula (Chorca Dhuibhne) on May 2.
The Dingle Peninsula is located in County Kerry and is the westernmost part of Ireland. It is part of the Gaeltacht area of Ireland which means it is an Irish speaking area. Wikipedia has a reasonably good explanation of the Gaeltacht.
Here is a link to a web site that has quite a bit if information about the Dingle Peninsula.
When we return from Ireland and you are asked if you have done the "Ring of Kerry" which is a tour around the Iveragh Peninsula, you can say " No, we did Dingle, which is even better"
